This rindik/tingklik, also known as 'grantang' in North Bali, has 11 keys made from bamboo and a casing from wood. This instrument comes with two mallets and is played using a two handed technique where two musicians play melodic and interlocking patterns together. This music is complete with two musicians, so it is a good idea to buy two instruments. The instruments are tuned slightly 'out' from each other, resulting in a beautiful humming sound that is characteristis of all Balinese gamelan ensembles.

Made in Denpasar by home industry professionals, there are three designs available (see Additional Images).

Watch a video of a rindik suling trio to get an idea how these types of instruments sound.
